Ruthira Naraidoo

Non-resident Fellow

Ruthira Naraidoo is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, University of Pretoria. He completed his Ph.D. in 2004 from the Department of Economics at Cardiff University. He held lecturer positions in economics at the Department of Economics, Keele University and at the University of Nottingham, Ningbo. Previosuly, he secured his BSc (Honours) degree from University of Mauritius and an MSc degree from Cardiff University. His research interests are in the areas of applied macroeconomic theory and policy with a focus on macro models of business cycles in the nexus of financial markets, commodity markets, monetary and fiscal policy. He also works on time series econometrics. He has published extensively in both international and domestic journals.
